Morgan Dean, MSW Associate Intern
Growing up in a society rigid with arbitrary, implicit rules can be a life-long learning curve, and I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent people to feel empowered to live fulfilling, functional lives while remaining their most authentic selves.
I understand firsthand how being unapologetically yourself when you are different can make you feel excruciatingly alone. As a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, I do not seek to change you, but to sit with you in your feelings and assist you in nurturing your emotional growth. Life can feel chaotic, out of your control, and much too overwhelming, especially for people that experience everything so richly. I want to provide you with specialized insight and coping skills, taking into consideration your personal perspective.
After cherishing my work with children on the Autism spectrum for over five years, I hold a special place in my heart for neurodiverse populations. In my work, I am dedicated to fostering a sense of self-efficacy, resilience and nervous system regulation techniques for people who feel they have exceeded their coping capacities. I aim to restore your personal power and equip you with information and strategies essential to cultivating and maintaining your well-being.
Along with affirming neurodivergent identities, I am committed to being an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, wholeheartedly believing that everyone has the right to express the most genuine version of themselves and live in a way that aligns with their innermost being. I will unwaveringly support your identity and offer a safe space for those who society frequently overlooks.
I am a graduate student striving to earn my license as a Clinical Social Worker. In my free time I enjoy reading, expressing myself creatively, writing music, and playing my guitar. I am currently gaining knowledge as an Intern Associate Therapist under the supervision of LCSW Allison Quinones, allowing me to offer affordable, easily accessible telehealth therapy.
I am a relational therapist and emphasize the importance of forming sincere connection and a sense of security in our helping relationship. Your healing journey is not something to undertake alone, heal with a therapist you can rely on who offers low-cost treatment, personalization and gentle guidance.
