Allison Quiñones, LCSW
Hi, I'm Allison (she/her), and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a therapist and private practice owner in Austin, Texas. I know the importance of feeling safe, heard, and understood—especially when working through the deep wounds of trauma. I’m passionate about creating a therapeutic space where you can process complex trauma, unlearn harmful doctrine, reevaluate your values, and rediscover a sense of purpose that feels authentic to you.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating spiritual abuse, religious trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Whether you’re deconstructing, unlearning, or simply trying to make sense of your experiences, I’ll meet you where you are. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, and I believe healing happens in relationships built on trust, safety, and compassion. While my practice name reflects my married last name, I identify as white and am committed to cultural humility and inclusive care.
Like many of my clients, I’ve personally wrestled with the complexities of faith, power dynamics, and community. I know what it’s like to feel unheard, shamed, or even rejected for questioning beliefs that no longer align with you. That experience fuels my passion for this work—because I know healing is possible when you have a space to process without judgment or fear of being “fixed.”
If you're seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, or trauma—whether related to religious experiences or not—I am here to support you. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to find the right therapist, especially when religious trauma is part of your story. You may want someone who understands faith but won’t push spiritual guidance. You may need a therapist who recognizes the deep layers of trauma, grief, and identity shifts that come with leaving or reshaping a belief system.
I want to be that safe place for you. Healing doesn’t require having all the answers—it begins with having the space to ask the hard questions. In our work together, I’ll hold space for your doubts, fears, and uncertainties while supporting you in reclaiming your identity, self-trust, and joy.
If you're ready to begin this journey, I’m here to walk alongside you. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
